Demo Research Proposal

RESEARCH TITLE

Exploring the Role of Simulation in Internship of the students of IER.

Introduction:
An internship is an opportunity to integrate career related experience into an undergraduate education by participating in planned, supervised work. Basically it provides the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge on pedagogies in the actual classroom settings and gain practical experience. Before going there every students of IER completed Microteaching and Simulation course that was in fact a mock up of a real classroom situation. Going to school, every student had the opportunity to apply that knowledge of microteaching in a real classroom situation.
Normally the objective of the simulation curse is to make the students prepare for internship. In this research, I want to see what the effect of simulation in internship is.

Objectives of the Study:
*    General Objective:
To explore the effectiveness the Role of Simulation in Internship of the students of IER.

*    Specific Objectives:
The specific objectives of this study will be–
ü  To compare the result of simulation with internship.
ü  To find out the effectiveness of simulation of the students’ classroom management capacity.

Significance of the Study:
As the students of IER, internship gives a great opportunity to the students implement their theoretical knowledge to the practical situation. The goal of the simulation course is to make the students better prepared for the internship. This research will show that does simulation really fulfill its goal. It will also point that if any change should be made in the simulation and internship.

Methodology:
vNature of the Study:
This research is a combination of quantative and qualitative research in nature.
vPopulation & Sampling:
    The population for this research will be-
·        The Students of IER who completed at least 7th semester.
·        All teachers of IER.
·        The teachers and headmaster of the concern school where the student completed their internship.

vData Collection Techniques:

The data will be gathered in the following techniques:
*      Observation.
*      Questionnaires.
*      Interview.
Questionnaires will be containing both open and close ended question. Observation will be conducted on the students of IER. Interview will be taken of the teachers. Sample will be selected from both the teacher and students through Stratified Random System.

vData Analysis Procedure:
The data will be analyzed in mainly three steps. These are:
                      I.        Organizing
                    II.        Description
                   III.        Interpretation.

Conclusion:
Internship and simulation are the two significant curses in the graduate level of IER. I believe that this research will surely help both the students and the authority of IER to see the present situation and help them to make any possible adjustment for this two if needed.
